The Vice-Presidential Debate

Last night, Sen. Kamala Harris and Vice-President Mike Pence met for the only VP debate scheduled for this election cycle. Today, I began reading social media posts from people who were happy that, at least, the debate was civil. To call last night’s debate civil just reminds me how low the bar has been set.

The debate was not civil. There might not have been any yelling, but there was certainly a ton of bullying. It was obvious from the get go that Mike Pence was not happy to be sharing the stage with two women. I would assume this has to do with his extreme evangelical views on the relationships between men and women.

This attitude also showed in his extreme disrespect for moderator Susan Page. Time and time again, Mike Pence just steamrolled over her attempts to cut him off when his time expired. Pence did not even acknowledge her attempts, but rather, just kept talking until he completed whatever thought he had. The most annoying part was that the thought usually had nothing to do with the question he was asked by the moderator.

I have to give credit to Kamala Harris for maintaining her composure and not biting into Pence’s obvious attempts to goad her into confrontation. Had she done so, Pence would have taken it as a victory akin to Trump’s attitude when he was able to goad Biden into confrontation. Harris was actually able to shut Pence down more than once when she would say, “Excuse me, I’m talking.” Pence was obviously upset when this happened.

Susan Page was not effective at all in reigning Pence in. Nor was she able to keep him “on topic,” no matter how hard she tried. The phrase, “Thank you, Mr. Vice-President…” became a common, and very annoying, refrain during the entire debate.

The first noticeable thing about Mike Pence was his left eye. It appeared that he had some form of conjunctivitus. This was concerning as it is a symptom of Covid-19. Given the current White House outbreak, the assumption of Covid must be forgiven. According to press reports today, his red eye was the result of a broken blood vessel. Maybe this is true, maybe not. This administration is not known for the truth.

The debate started with a discussion about Covid. Harris called out the administration’s response. Pence stated that they did the best job ever and claimed that it would have been worse had Biden been in charge.

The question was asked as to whether Presidential health information should be public. Harris stated that it should and then landed a solid body blow against Pence by noting that tax information should be public as well. The American people have a right to know who Trump is in debt to and whether his decisions were in the interest of the US or his own due to the debt. Pence claimed Trump paid millions in taxes and was transparent with his financial disclosures. Of course, he spoke past his allotted time and over the moderator.

The next topic was economic recovery. Is the recovery as good as the Trump administration says it is. Pence stated that tariffs have helped the economy and Trump’s tax cuts helped the average American over corporate interests. Pence bulldozed over the moderator when his time ran out.

Harris used her comments to insinuate that Pence was lying without actually saying it. Pence cut her off. Harris did not bite into the obvious attempt to goad her into confrontation. When she started her statements again, Pence attempted to speak over her again. She cut him off and told him she was speaking. She also noted that Trump has tried to take credit for the recovery that Obama and Biden put into place during the recession.

Climate change was the next segment. Pence went out of his way to claim that there were no more hurricanes right now than any time in modern history. He completely glossed over the fact that hurricanes are growing more devastating due to climate change. He state the US was better off outside the Paris Climate Accord. He stated that Biden would abolish fossil fuels. He stated that forest management would fix massive forest fires. He bulldozed over Susan Page’s attempts to reign him in on time.

This is where Harris was at her weakest point during the debate. Instead of talking about Biden’s ideas, she just went into defensive modes discussing what Biden wasn’t. Also, while they both argued about how Biden would not end fracking, this would have been a time to talk about whether fracking should be banned.

Harris called out Trump for losing the trade war with China, and the losses to American manufacturing. Pence stated that Biden would not have the guts to fight a trade war. Givne the damage, I hope Biden won’t fight a trade war.

Both candidates traded shots over American global leadership. They traded shots over the military and Harris landed a good shot with Russian bounties and traumatic brain injuries in soldiers. The moderator attempted to move onto other subjects, but Pence refused and stated he would respond to Harris. He bulldozed over her again by running over the time she allotted in exasperation.

This was the tenor for the rest of the debate. Pence would tout the administration line on the Supreme Court, the shooting of Breonna Taylor, and Trump’s refusal to condemn white supremacy. This was where Harris was at he strongest. She stated that justice was not done by the Taylor grand jury. She told Pence she would not be lectured by him, given her past as a prosecutor and the Attorney General of California.

The subject finally came up about the peaceful transfer of power. As VP, what would Pence do should Trump refuse to leave? He completely sidestepped the question by stating, and repeating, that Trump would win. Harris discussed the coalition of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans that backed Biden. Trump would not be allowed to subvert democracy.

All-in-all, it was a far more substantive debate than the first Presidential debate, but this is the lowest bar that can be set. The most entertaining part of the debate was the fly that took up residence in Pence’s hair for about two minutes. That fly now has a Twitter account. Either it was showing support for it’s preferred candidate, or, it was shitting in Pence’s hair. I would like to think the latter.

Trump is a Megalomaniacal Asshole

Once again, Donald Trump is playing with the lives of the American people. This time, however, he is playing with our finances and our futures. Donny was apparently feeling so good after his hospital stay that he had the energy to be wantonly cruel for the sake of cruelty.

Donald Trump instructed his administration to quit negotiating with the Democrats in Congress on a stimulus package. He further stated that he would not consider any package until after the election, when he would quickly approve money to help “small businesses and hard-working Americans.”

Even members of his own party were shocked at the statement. He apparently made the statement without consulting with the majority of Republicans. He did, of course, talk to Mitch McConnell about it. Mitch, of course, backed his play, stating that he approves of Trump’s plan.

Stimulus is an easy win and may have even given Trump some points towards the election. Americans are suffering. This package should have been approved months ago. As is, even a package now would be too late for millions of Americans who are set to lose homes, and who have, or are about to, lose their jobs. In Florida, Disney is laying of thousands of workers (in California, as well). Today, Universal Studios Orlando just announced another round of layoffs.

Add to that the second wave of Covid that is set to hit over the next couple of months. This wave is predicted to be worse than the first. I expect it to be. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (still read: DeathSentence) has refused to extend any moratorium on evictions. Without money, Central FL, at least, is set to become one huge homeless camp filled with former theme park workers.

There is some discussion that this stupid idea on the part of Donald Trump is actually related to one of the medications he is taking. He is taking the corticosteroid Dexamethasone, which can have an effect on a person’s critical thought processes. That is possible, but we must remember that this is Donald Trump we are talking about. His mentality has always been capricious at best. Whatever his whim is whatever he does.

As a publishing time edit, apparently, Trump has somewhat changed his course. He has recently stated that he will consider a stand-alone bill to give Americans the much needed second $1200 stimulus check. I would like to think his cooler head has finally taken over, but we know he does not have one. I am sure one of his advisors finally convinced him that he can take credit for a win if he does this. Or, he saw the stock market tank and realized that his cruelty would affect his bottom line.

So, tell me? Tired of winning yet?

The Asshole is at it Again…

Donald Trump has to create division and unrest. It is almost the air he breathes. Considering he is having trouble with the actual air he breathes, this makes sense in a strange way.

Trump was discharged from Walter Reed Medical Center today. However, before he was released, he went on a bit of a tweet storm. Now, I could go over every single one, but only one of them actually matters.

Anus Tangerinus tweeted out, “Don’t be afraid of Covid.” He stated that people should not let it dominate their lives. He then did what he is best at. He bragged about the things his administration is doing, or supposedly doing.

But still… don’t be afraid of Covid. That is possibly the most irresponsible tweet he has ever put out, and that is saying something for Trump. Covid has caused a worldwide pandemic. More than 200,000 American lives have been lost to the disease. At least a million more will be irrevocably changed.

But, Trump cannot allow his fragile ego to admit that he is sick. For him, that is the ultimate weakness, and Trump can never admit to that. The reality is that Trump is a very weak man. Therefore, in his mind, the projection of strength is tantamount to the breathing he is having difficulty with.

Trump does not care about anyone that isn’t him. He does not care if you die, as long as it is after you have cast your vote for him. In fact, that is basically what he is encouraging you to do. Don’t be afraid of Covid. Go vote (for Trump). If you contract the virus afterwards, you have already fulfilled your job. As far as Trump is concerned, your job is done.

We know he doesn’t care after yesterday’s stunt. I hope those two Secret Service agents don’t contract Covid. All so Trump can show how loved he is.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. No, you likely won’t die from Covid. But, it can destroy your health for the rest of your life. But, yes… you should vote. Vote the asshole out of the White House.

Trump is a Complete Asshat

Today, Trump decided that he has had enough with be cooped up in his hospital room. Mind you, his room is a private suite designed for the President to be able to work and move about, so it is not as if he is confined to bed. But, of course, Trump’s fragile ego can only go so long before he needs to feel the adulation of the demented zombies who love him.

Donny decided that he needed to be close to his supporters and let them know that he loves that they love him. This meant that he entered an SUV to do a drive-by so they could see him. Video shows him waving from the window of the vehicle.

He was, in fact, wearing a mask inside the vehicle. However, it was a regular cloth mask. This is a man who supposedly has an active case of Covid-19. One, he should not be doing this. Two, why is he not, at the very least, wearing an N95 mask, which would provide at least some protection to the two Secret Service agents required to travel with him in the vehicle?

Let’s talk about the vehicle, as well. When the President travels, he does not just drive in a car bought off a dealer’s lot. No, the President is at high risk of assassination, so the vehicle must be built up for this.

First, the vehicle is armor-plated. This makes the panels bullet proof. The glass is also bullet proof. This means that the windows cannot be rolled down. But, in our modern times, this is not enough to ensure the safety of the supposed most powerful man in the world.

There are many chemical and nerve agents that can be used in an attack. To counter this, the vehicle that the President travels in is hermetically sealed. Nothing in, nothing out. This includes viruses.

Trump is wearing a cloth mask inside this hermetically sealed vehicle. He is putting two men, who are charged with protecting his life, in jeopardy of their own lives. The two Secret Service agents must now quarantine for 14 days to ensure he did not transmit the virus to them.

These men are someone’s sons. They may be husbands and fathers… brothers… To Trump, these men don’t count. They are just the help. They are there to die for him, so this is just the risk they are required to take.

The reality is, these men may get sick. These men may die. Why? So Trump can produce a little bit of political theater designed to do nothing more than assuage his massive, but fragile, ego.

This is one time I am actually hoping he is lying about something. Having contracted the virus in the first place. Sadly, I don’t think he is lying… for once in his life.

Republican Coronavirus Shenanigans

It is possible that Donald Trump was diagnosed with Covid as early as Wednesday. His doctor, Sean Conley, stated in a press conference, on Saturday, that Trump was 72 hours into his diagnosis. If that is true, Trump would have received his diagnosis on Wednesday. Conley has since tried to clarify (read: walk back) his timeline.

Another doctor, Brian Garibaldi, stated Saturday that Trump had been treated with an experimental therapy “about 48 hours ago.” This would have placed the treatment on Thursday, during the day. This statement was “clarified” as well.

Here is the problem. Donald Trump attended a fundraiser (actually three different events) at his Bedminster golf resort Thursday evening. It is reported that no masks were worn by Trump or any of the donors who attended. Social distancing was also not observed. Hours later, Trump announced his positive diagnosis.

If the above is even close to true, Donald Trump knowingly exposed donors and staff at his resort to Covid. He has always been cavalier in his treatment of the disease, but this would be a willful act. It should be noted that the intentional spread of a deadly disease is a felony in most states. I do not imagine that Trump would ever be charged with a crime, but I do imagine that, if any of his rich donors contract Covid, Donald will have a lot to answer for, including possible litigation.

Of course, Trump is not the only Republican acting badly when it comes to Covid. Minnesota Representatives Pete Stauber, Tom Emmer, and Jim Hagedorn all flew on Air Force One, with Donald Trump, to a rally in Duluth. They then all flew on a public flight on Delta Airlines on Friday night, knowing that they had been exposed to Covid. Delta requires passengers to confirm that they have not knowingly been exposed to Covid for at least 14 days prior to flying. That means these Congressional Representatives made fraudulent statements to board the flight.

It seems Republicans like Delta Airlines. I cannot blame them. Delta is a fantastic airline for customer service. On another Delta flight, Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) was photographed flying with his mask basically being worn like a chinstrap. His spokesperson attempted to diffuse the situation by stating that he pulled it down to have a drink and forgot to put it back on. Supposedly, he placed it properly on his mouth after a flight attendant reminded him. However, eye witnesses, including the photographer, stated that his mask was chin strapped for most of the flight.

While it should be noted that the Senator has not attended any White House events recently, there was no statement as to whether he was in contact with other Republican Senators who have been diagnosed with Covid. Republican Senators frequently meet for lunch as a group, where no masks are worn and social distancing is not practiced.

Of course, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) didn’t seem to care either. On Friday, he was tested for Covid. While awaiting those results, he attended an Oktoberfest celebration that evening. The next day, his test results showed that he was, in fact, positive for Covid. He tried to justify his actions by stating that he did not expect to be positive for the virus.

This is the party that claims they have your best interests at heart.

The Bubble Has Popped…

The biggest bubble in the free world just popped. Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, have both contracted Covid-19. Of course, Trump, ever conscious of status and power, did not refer to Melania as his wife. He announced that he and the FLOTUS had Covid. Of course, it is not as if he and his wife have any level of romance in their marriage.

Today, Donald Trump was transported to Walter Reed Medical Center. He is now showing symptoms of the disease, including difficulty breathing. There is no word on Melania other than that she has a headache and a cough.

Eighteen White House staffers have been diagnosed with Covid. Eleven people who attended the first debate have now contracted Covid. Even White House reporters have come down with Covid. Late today, former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway admitted that she tested positive for Covid-19.

Through contact tracing, the best theory is that Trump contracted Covid from his Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett. She contracted Covid earlier in the summer, and it is believed that she is still shedding the virus even though she is now asymptomatic.

That is the problem with Covid-19. It is Schrodinger’s virus. You simultaneously have to worry that you have it, even while you feel no symptoms of it.

It is also why it is so important to wear a mask. This virus is airborne. If you are wearing your mask over your mouth, but leaving your nose exposed, you are not wearing a mask. In fact, there are more receptors for Covid in your nasal passages than there are in your mouth. If you are wearing your mask as a chinstrap, which many people do, well… you must just believe in magic, because you are doing nothing to protect yourself or anyone around you. If you contract Covid, you really kind of deserve it. I just hope you don’t pass it to anyone else. But, you probably will because you still won’t wear a mask during the asymptomatic phase.

Do I think Trump deserves the virus? I kind of do. He politicized the virus, allowing the virus to spread at levels far too high for comfort. Thousands of the Covid deaths in the US can directly be traced to the government’s response, or lack thereof, to the pandemic.

This is not karma. Karma does not work this way. What we call karma is so we do not have to admit that we are feeling a level of schadenfreude over someone else’s problems. If karma did work this way, I would certainly believe that Trump would most definitely deserve it. But, that is not why this happened.

This happened because Donald Trump could not allow himself to wear a mask, even during his campaign rallies. These rallies, by the by, are more often than not, super spreader events. Just ask Herman Cain. Oh wait, you can’t. Herman Cain contracted Covid from the Trump rally in Tulsa, OK. He died from the disease.

Apparently, the disease is progressing rapidly with Trump. No one honestly knows how he will respond to the disease. No one, except his doctor, can honestly say they know the real information related to Donald Trump’s health. We do know he is overweight. We also know that, at 74, he is in a high risk group.

I do not expect that, should he survive, he will change his attitude towards Covid. I do not expect he will start telling his cult to wear masks. I do believe he might start to wear one, but remember, Donny previously said that he was not worried about Covid because he is far away from the crowds.

In other words, he only cares about himself. But, we knew that already.

The First Presidential Prize Fight… erm… Debate

Let us begin by acknowledging that this was not a debate to see who would be a better President for the next four years. At least, not for Donald Trump. Donny wanted all Americans to know that, in his view, he is the only person who should be President… really, for the rest of his lifetime. Any other outcome would simply be fraud, in his view.

For those disgusted by his performance last night, you must understand that this was a strategy. He did not go into the debate trying to win a single voter. He went into this debate to rally his “troops.” As well, part of his strategy appeared to be an attempt to suppress the vote by convincing people not to vote. He wants to make people so frustrated that they give up completely on the election process.

I will admit that he managed to get under Biden’s skin during the first part of the debate. Adding to the issue is the stutter that Biden has had his entire life. I imagine it was a nightmare scenario for Biden to maintain any vocal calmness when Trump kept talking over him. Biden’s stutter did come out a bit, but I will give him credit for getting himself under control.

Trump’s strategy last night was to throw as many lies against the wall to see what would stick. Part of that was to take as many shots as possible at Biden’s family, especially Hunter Biden. He took those shots to the point of distraction, and even annoyance.

Chris Wallace was very ineffectual during the first half of the debate. Trump ran as roughshod on him as he did on Biden. It became my fervent wish that Wallace had the ability to turn off Trump’s mic. Alas, he didn’t.

Wallace finally called Trump out on his interruptions. Trump attempted to deflect to Biden. Wallace called him out a second time.

Where the tide turned, whether Trump just ran out of steam, or, he knew he had no wind for his argument, was when the subject of race relations came up. Joe Biden admitted that the US needed to do more. That was big.

He then landed some solid body blows on Trump by providing examples of his divisiveness, eg. calling neo-Nazis “very fine people” in Charlottesville, and his bible photo op, in DC, where peaceful protesters were teargassed so Trump could walk to a church near the White House.

On a side note, it needs to be pointed out how this particular incident shows the level of Trump’s casual sadism. He did not need to teargas the protesters. However, in his mind, this shows that he has the power to hurt people. Trump has shown, time and time again, how much he likes this power. For him, it is a game.

Trump turned back to his racist dog whistles when he made his tired argument that the suburbs will disappear under Biden because he will let minorities in. I do not think Trump has been to the suburbs lately. They are not nearly as white as he thinks, or wants, them to be.

Trump then turned to putting troops on the streets to quell the protests. That is never a good look for any American politician. For the President of the United States, it is just an announcement that fascism is his favorite form of government.

Chris Wallace asked Donald Trump, directly, to denounce far-right terror groups that have been on the streets attacking the protesters. As expected, Trump deflected. First, he started ranting about Antifa and the left-wing terrorist protesters. When Wallace persisted, and Biden taunted him, Trump actually sent out a call to action.

He said, “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by.” Of course the right is trying to lean on the stand down part of that statement. However, we all know what he said. He told them to stop for now, but when he needs them to be violent, he will let them know.

For those that don’t see this for what it is, today, the Proud Boys began selling a t-shirt with ‘stand back, stand by’ on it. They also claim that their membership applications spiked after the debate. To them, this was their call to arms.

When you add this to Trump’s refusal to accept the results of the election, it is a very scary scenario. Trump has made it clear, and reiterated last night, that he will only accept the results of a free and fair election. But, he has also stated that the only way he will lose is if the Democrats cheat. So, Trump will only accept the election results if he is declared the winner.

In the end, Trump just began throwing accusation-filled crap at Joe Biden’s son, Hunter. Biden, by now, had found his composure, so nothing landed. Luckily, this had a predictable effect on Trump. He got silent and pouted. Sadly, it did not last.

At the end, Biden called for calm as the results are tabulated. He reminded the country that he would be a President for all, not just “his” people. Trump, once again, stirred his pot of divisiveness. He called for his followers to go to the polls and “watch closely.”

How anyone can not see this for the voter intimidation tactic that it so obviously is baffling to any rational mind. Chris Wallace had to remind Trump that his campaign agreed to certain rules for the debate that Trump continued to violate. If the Biden campaign is smart, they will cancel the rest of the Presidential debates. For Trump, that is not their purpose anyway.

There was no winner last night. I can say, however, that Trump was the loser. His “strategy” only served to cement the view that he is a petulant child without the temperament to be President of the United States.

Why We Can’t Have Nice Things…

I want to talk more about Florida today. I can usually find something in the state to discuss, given that Governor DeSantis (read: DeathSentence) has his mouth sewn to Donald Trump’s ass in the most twisted human centipede imaginable, and that is saying something. His canceling of added unemployment benefits recently is about to destroy a Florida city that was already on the edge prior to the pandemic.

Disney World has just announced that they are laying off 28,000 cast members over the next couple of days. 9,000 of these layoffs will be full-time members. A good majority of these people will be people who have been furloughed since the pandemic began, so they have already not been collecting paychecks since March. Many of them were collecting enhanced unemployment benefits, but those are at an end, because Governor DeathSentence ended them early, declaring that the state cannot afford them any longer.

Universal Studios Orlando has already gone through more than one round of layoffs affecting thousands of employees. Many of them have made careers at Universal that have lasted 20+ years. Let me also be clear, these are reported as layoffs as it is a nicer word, but all these individuals are being permanently separated from these places of employment. In other words, they are being fired.

Some would question why they are doing this. Most people do realize that there will be a Covid spike now that Governor DeathSentence has fully opened Florida back up again. Why not keep these people on paper so they can activate them as needed because theme park workers are going to get sick as well as everyone else in the state. Replacement workers will be needed.

The answer is far more sinister than you want to imagine. Seaworld is the third major theme park in Orlando. Like her sister parks, Seaworld furloughed, and then laid off, a good percentage of their workers. When it came time to bring them back, they required them all to re-apply/re-audition for their previous jobs. Being hired back meant a cut in pay as everyone brought on was technically a new hire.

I fully expect this to be the same game plan for Disney. Why do I think this? Prior to the announcement, Disney shut down an orchestra that played in the park for 37 years. It is common knowledge to theme park workers that the musicians union is more powerful than Disney itself. In order to terminate a musician at Disney, you have to shut down a show, make a minor change so it is a different show, and re-cast minus those musicians that they wanted gone.

I fully expect casting notices to go out for Disney within the next month (cast members are cast, not hired). Universal has put out some audition notices to replace laid-off entertainment employees. Whether this will be the case for non-entertainment employees at Universal has yet to be seen. The only given will be a cut in pay across the board.

Pay at the theme parks is already inadequate for their employees to make ends meet. There is more than one documentary, and an independent film, that detail how many theme park workers live week-to-week in cheap motels, and some even live in their cars in the parking lots of these parks.

Imagine how much worse it will be when pay is less than it is now? How many of these laid-off employees will be homeless within the next two to three months? There are no jobs in Florida to replace the jobs they have now lost and no enhanced unemployment.

Who Owns Donald Trump?

We need to expand on our discussion of Trump and his debt issues. Mostly, we, as Americans, need to understand who Trump owes this money to. For those who do not realize, this is a matter of national security.

His debt is almost a half a billion dollars. We need to be worried about who actually owns this debt. There are many differing ramifications from the various possibilities.

Let us say, for instance, that his debt is only owned by a bunch of Wall Street bond jocks. That isn’t so bad, is it? At least it is owned by Americans, right? Wrong. We already know that Trump was more than willing to sell out rank and file Americans to ensure the richest of the rich got billions in tax breaks while breaking the treasury. That happened his first year in office.

Let’s imagine that his debt is owned by a criminal enterprise. Remember, Donald is leveraged to the hilt. He has no way to pay this money back when it comes due. What kind of favors… what federal prosecutions would just disappear as a favor? All he would need to do is find an Attorney General willing to be loyal to him over the US Government. That could never happen, could it? Except it already has with William Barr.

Maybe we should look at a third possibility. What if that debt is owned by a foreign government? A government like Russia. How would this be possible? They would need a bank that they could launder the money through. No bank would do that, would they? I mean, Deutsche Bank is reputable, right? There are no investigations into them for money laundering, are there? Yes, there are.

But, why would the Russians do this? Maybe to gain control in areas of the world that have been previously protected by US interests. As part of the bargain, the reputation of the US is destroyed internationally. But why should that matter as long as Trump finally gets his tower in Moscow?

But, why would Trump actually allow Russia all of this just for a hotel? It seems like Russia would have to have something else on him to ensure his compliance. It has always seemed odd to me that Russians buy an inordinate amount of Trump properties in the US, and around the world for higher than market value. Why would they do this? There could be no reason other than… money laundering for the Russian mob and corrupt politicians.

It would be very bad indeed if this information was ever made public. Donald would not be a happy man. Maybe Donald should kiss Putin’s ass at every available opportunity. Yeah, that would certainly help.

Of course, maybe none of this is true. Then again… maybe all of it is true.

Trump’s Taxes

I used to be convinced that Trump’s desire to be re-elected stemmed solely from his concern that he would be headed to jail once he left office. That is, until I saw the information that has been published about his tax return. Now, I am convinced that a part of his desire to stay in office is that the Presidency becomes a new way for him to avoid paying his bills.

First, Trump very possibly misused a tax provision that provided him a refund of more than $70 million. He is currently being audited over this, and if disallowed, he will owe the IRS approximately $100 million in back taxes and penalties alone. As well, Trump has been funneling money to his daughter, Ivanka. But, instead of either of them paying gift tax on the money, he has called it contractor fees. Ivanka then declares the money as income.

There are other tax fraud schemes that the whole Trump family uses to avoid paying their fair share, but it is not necessary for me to list each one. More details will come out over the next few weeks, I am sure. For now, I want to talk about how Trump will likely use a second term to avoid paying his gargantuan debt.

Donald Trump is currently responsible for over $400 million in loans and debt. Much of this money comes due over the next four years. If he is re-elected, it would be hard to imagine how his lenders would be able to call in those debts, or to foreclose on the properties involved in those loans. I have no doubt that Bill Barr would bring to bear the entire force of the Federal government against any attempt. But, that would probably not be necessary as Trump could use the Presidency itself as a shield against any legal action.

For these reasons, and future prosecution that he is currently shielded from as President, Donald has no choice but to fight tooth and nail to remain in the White House. His efforts to call the election into question, and his current attempt to place an extreme conservative onto the Supreme Court to tilt the balance of power, are just a part of his machinations.

As a side note, it is amusing to note that these revelations are still managing to give the masses something to discuss that avoids the actual problem. Trump has managed not to pay taxes for several years. He also managed to only have to pay $750 in taxes his first two years in office. This is a major topic of conversation on social media and is distracting from the real issues that are laid out in this article.

I have no doubt that more will come out. I also have no doubt that any of this will have absolutely no effect on the opinion of his base. But, we must keep up the fight. Our future depends on it.
