When Mango Mussolini was campaigning for his second term, he promised his more racist supporters that he was going to arrest and deport every undocumented immigrant in the US… and maybe some documented immigrants. If he was feeling saucy, he would go after a few naturalized citizens. He promised his mildly and racist adjacent supporters that he would only go after undocumented immigrants with criminal records.

Trump being Trump, he immediately started going after any undocumented immigrant ICE could find. He wanted to show big numbers to make it look like he was actually honoring a campaign promise. He had ICE, led by ICE Barbie, Kristi Noem, start raiding the most obvious places to find undocumented workers. They raided hotels, meat packing plants, farms, and even the parking lots of Home Depots. Today, I received reports that ICE was seen in the employee parking lot of Universal Studios Orlando. I do not know if the latter is true, but I would not be surprised.

Herein lies the problem… the Orange Idiot and Cruella de Vil (again, Kristi Noem) were damaging the businesses of people who supported his election and they were PISSED. Social media reports of buyer’s remorse were frequent and acerbic. We all watched Trump begin yet another of his epic meltdowns, especially as his poll numbers continued their downward spiral.

That led to this week where Dimwit Don went to his goto move… he TACOed. Trump announced he wanted ICE to stop raiding the previously aforementioned locations and to begin concentrating on the actual people he promised to go after during his campaign. Of course, ICE Barbie cannot follow instructions well or ICE would not have been reported at Universal Studios as late as today.

48% of the voting electorate wanted this… in the 21st century. To quote Will McAvoy, from ‘The Newsroom’, “We aspired to intelligence, we didn’t belittle it; it didn’t make us feel inferior.” Trump and the GOP, however, want the electorate uneducated and stupid. Otherwise, they know they have no chance of ever being in charge again.

Trump himself said he loved the poorly educated. Of course he does.

Trump’s birthday parade “cleverly” disguised as a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the US Army was apparently a total bust. According to sources, less than 10,000 people attended. According to photographs, it appears to be a lot less than 10,000. Photos of Trump showed a miserable old man sitting in the rain. He looked upset too.

On the flip side, early numbers on the ‘No Kings Protests’ indicate more than 11,000,000 people attended to protest against Trump and his dick-tatorial policies. That is a bit less than 3.5% of the population of the United States. Statistically, that is actually a huge number of people.

It is also indicative of a growing movement that is strongly in opposition of the Trump administration. We have reached an inflection point. Dictators fear protest. They make every attempt to squash protests against them. Trump has tried, and failed, to threaten protesters in this country.

As a reminder to all of you, Trump wanted to shoot protesters during his first term. This was when he walked to St. John’s Church, in Washington DC, for a photo op with an upside down bible. While the shooting never happened, the DC Metropolitan Police did fire tear gas into a peaceful crowd.

General Mark Milley later apologized for his role in the photo op. Trump has been attacking him ever since. His divisive rhetoric has led to many incidences of violence up to, and including, the murder of a state legislator and her husband yesterday. Today, a man drove into a crowd of protesters, in Culpeper, VA. Of course, we cannot forget the vicious attack on Paul Pelosi in 2022. MAGAts celebrated the attack and ridiculed Mr. Pelosi for months afterwards.

This is the United States of America in the 21st century. We are hurtling towards a future that is, ironically, mired in the past.

A Minnesota state legislator and her husband were murdered by a man inpersonating a police officer. The suspect also shot and injured another lawmaker and his wife. The suspect shot at actual police officers as he fled the scene of one of the attacks.

Law enforcement found the suspect’s car and inside was a manifesto and a target list of other people he scheduled for assassination. As well, the suspect planned to target an anti-Trump protest.

This is the United States today. Deranged individuals are empowered by this administration and Mango Mussolini’s divisive rhetoric. There has been no statement on these horrific crimes by the White House. I assume the Orange Idiot is too busy stroking himself in the grandstand as his birthday parade passed by.

But, MAGA isn’t a cult.

Today, US Senator for California, Alex Padilla, was forcibly removed from a press conference being held by Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security.

Noem stated she thought Padilla was an attacker, which beggers credibility. Unidentified men, not in any uniform, grabbed Senator Padilla and removed him from the room. Padilla identified himself as a US Senator while he was being shoved from the room.

Later, video shows men in law enforcement uniforms identifed as uniformed FBI took Padilla to the ground and handcuffed him. One of the ununiformed men eventually blocked the camera with his body during the arrest, stating video recording was not allowed.

Noem later claimed that Padilla launched himself at the podium and claimed he did not identify himself. Again, video shows Padilla identifying himself to those men and the room.

This is the current government of the United States. Unidentified men, not in any uniform, are used, especially by Noem, to intimidate, harass, and arrest civilians and members of government who will not go along with their fascist ways.

This is just the beginning. If they feel this comfortable now, it will only get worse if they are allowed to continue. But, we all know there will be no investigation into this, or any other, incident.

While we are all paying attention to the growing protests in LA and across the nation, the major airlines sold all your flight information to Customs and Border Protection.

The Dept. of Homeland Security has stated this information is needed to track “persons of interest” within the United States, however, experts in civil liberties are rather alarmed by this information exchange. To add to the alarm, the Airline Reporting Corporation told government agencies not to publicize where this information came from.

Well, all that sounds like it is on the up and up. /sarcasm

Trump stated today that he would “certainly invoke the insurrection act if there was an insurrection in LA.”

Instead of reporting on the peaceful nature of the protests, the media is reporting the words of a wanna-be tyrant. If Trump invokes the Insurrection Act, he can use US military troops against US citizens. It does not require the approval of Congress, not that those lily-livered, spineless jellyfish would dare oppose him anyway.

SCOTUS can’t even overturn the act, but they can limit its scope. Whether they would or not, however, is a big question mark. The Insurrection Act effectively turns Mango Mussolini into a king. This is his end goal.

He can then decide not to hold mid-term elections. He can keep those 7000 troops on the streets of DC under the pretext that he fears an attack on the nation’s capitol. He has previously ensured that Pentagon personnel and the generals were MAGA loyalists.

That leaves one wild card. The troops themselves. While the military, historically, votes conservative, Trump’s open distain for the nation’s fighting men and women has turned many of them against him.

His action at the recent West Point Military Academy graduation is a slap to the face of our nation’s military. There are many reporting that he left because he did not want the embarassment of West Point graduates refusing to shake his hand. That is honestly undetermined.

What is known, however, is that he left under the pretext of urgent matters in dealing with Russia and China. He then went golfing. Why waste a perfectly nice afternoon shaking the hands of men and women who have voluntarily agreed to not only serve their country, but to lead other men and women while doing so when he can hit a small ball with a stick?

Trump certainly does not have the support of many veterans as he works to strip away their VA benefits. That number grows every single day. I am one of those veterans who will never support Trump’s vision of taking over, dismantling, and raping the United States of America.

All enemies, both foreign and domestic…

I think Trump is very quickly showing himself an enemy to this nation whether you believe he is in the pocket of Putin or not. I personally do.

The protests in LA have begun to spread nationwide. Protesters were arrested in New York, chemical agents were used against protesters in Atlanta, and police are monitoring protests in Chicago, where vehicles have been damaged. That last part is sad and unnecessary.

In the meantime, Mango Mussolini has upped the federal troop deployment in Los Angeles to 5000 troops. Let us be clear… this original deployment, and ensuing escalation, is nothing more than Trump manufacturing a way to expand his power. In a metroplex of 22 million people, the protests were originally confined to a couple of blocks.

If you believe Trump, and the MAGA base undoubtedly does, LA was on fire and being overrun by immigrant criminals. It never was. Now, he has created a headache for himself that will likely come to a violent head.

He is acting like a cornered animal. I am sure he is upset his plans for a bloodless coup are gone. He has threatened “heavy force” against anyone who protests his parade in Washington DC, peaceful or otherwise.

I am sure he has no plans to ever send those troops home from that parade. He wants the implicit threat of force to be very visible to a reeling nation. He may still try to stage a military coup, however, at this point, it would not be bloodless. Of course, he could not conceive that it never would have been a bloodless coup.

The Orange Idiot has been emboldened for years by a GOP that has completely capitulated to his whims and a SCOTUS that has handed him the keys to an imaginary kingdom where he thinks he will be some sort of diety where the entire world worships him.

That will never happen. We are at the precipice. The question is if we can find a way to back off from it or if we will tumble over and find a new reality.

Mango Mussolini now has 700 active duty Marines and 2000 CA National Guardsmen on the streets of LA. Legally, they cannot do anything to the protesters unless they attack an ICE facility.

However, by all accounts, the protests are relatively peaceful. This action by the Orange Idiot is a provocation designed to enrage the crowd. I can only assume this would be pretext to enact the Insurrection Act.

If he does that, the military is no longer restrained by Posse Comitatus. I doubt Trump realized he did it, but he actually restrained the CA National Guard by federalizing them.

As citizen soldiers, they had some authority for police work, if needed. Once they were federalized, they became no different than any active duty soldiers. Posse Comitatus prevents the military from acting as police within the United States.

This comes from when the British used the military to police the colonies and the harsh actions they took. Policing should be surgical; the military is a blunt instrument. They are trained for combat. History has shown that the military, any military, is not capable of acting in a police capacity.

This level of pushback against his illegal policies needs to continue. He thinks he is King. We need to remind him that we once said there would be no Kings.

The Trump administration has officially deployed the CA National Guard, backed up by US Marines, into Los Angeles.

The border czar, Tom Homan, has stated that, while no discussions have happened on the subject, the administration has not ruled out arresting CA political leaders.

I have no doubt that Trump will seize on this as a way to declare martial law across the nation, effectively ending democracy as we have known it.

… that I would never really need this blog again. Even when he won, I fought against publishing anymore.

But, then I realized there was a reason I never stopped paying for the domain. I have to do something in the fight against fascism and tyranny.

It is especially important now considering Mango Mussolini has nationalized the CA National Guard against citizens of the United States. He has stated he will call up Marines to augment them. Only one thought crosses my mind right now.

We are at war… and the enemy is us.

While he claims it is to celebrate the Army, we all know this parade in Washington DC is his way of celebrating himself considering it is also on his birthday. He thinks it projects strength, but it does the opposite.

Strength doesn’t need displays. Strength doesn’t need to show off its might. The United States has always been strong without needing a parade. He is showing his weakness.

More troubling to me is that he is placing a large military presence in the nation’s capitol. I cannot imagine that he is going to let them leave.

The parade is his perfect pretext to use the military to overthrow the Constitution and declare himself as some sort of King.

I am not combat-aged anymore, thus, I must pick up the proverbial pen since I cannot pick up a sword.

I am back. At least until he finds a way to silence the voices of dissent.
